Alongside's Joana Schenker's visit, we are organising a bodyboarding taster for people to give the boog a go in our Cruiser setting.

With the whole left side of the pool booked for the taster, you will be able to get your first open face rides in the reef. Coaches will be in the water managing the taster and making sure everyone is in the area suitable for their level. Note that this is not a lesson.

If you can, bring your own bodyboarding equipment. We have equipment at Lost Shore but it's limited.

After the taster, stay around and enjoy a bodyboarding evening where we'll have a couple of films on and we'll chat with bodyboarding world champion Joana Schenker. 

Film screening and talk included in the price.

Event Schedule

• 04:00pm-05:00pm: BoogJam Session. Bodyboard with Joana and the crew in a bodyboarding dedicated Barrels session with T2 and B2 settings being pushed.
• 05:00pm-06:00pm: Bodyboarding Taster on the left side of the Cove for beginners and dabblers with Cruiser waves and both bay and reef accessible.
• 07:00pm-07:30pm: Film screening. We will screen Sebastien Boulard's beautiful movie "He is mine", starring Miguel Coelho and highlights his intricate relationship with the ocean, blending bodyboarding, spearfishing, sailing, and more. After it, we will watch Granny Grommets. The film tells the story of a surfing group of over 50's based in based in the coastal town of Albany in Western Australia. A true ode to community values, friendship and having fun in the waves.
• 07:30pm-08:00pm: Meet Joana. and learn about her inspiring and historical journey as Portugal's first professional World Champion in wave riding sports.

Canteen will be open until 10pm, so feel free to stick around and continue your evening!
